Hello, my name is Gavin Evans and I have been a professional sportsman for over a decade. Table Tennis is a sport which has given me a life I could not of dreamed of. I have travelled around the globe for the last 10 years and have visited almost every country you can think of, including china 11 times. I began playing at the tender age of 4 and won my first tournament at 6 years old. Success was my  real drive and consequently I went on to win the European Youth Championships, European Youth Olympics, over 40 national titles and British Senior individual men’s title. I am the youngest player ever to be ranked at 6 years old and hold over 40 national titles.

Table Tennis is an Olympic sport which is played by over 2.4 million people in the UK and over 200 million in china.  My career began at Cippenham Table Tennis Club. In my early days I was simply mesmerised by the speed of the sport and the spin which I found such a challenge and enormous fun to just get the ball on the table.  My mother and father have played to a very high level. As family we hold over 60 national Titles, our family have been in the sport for over 40 years.

After 3 hip operations I took the decision to follow a very strong passion of mine- coaching. I now spend my time trying to inspire the next generation to follow their dreams and get involved in sport, in the hope others can experience the life I did. I have now been coaching for 6 years and it is the best decision I have ever made. Seeing the appreciation and smiles on people’s faces is simply priceless!

We now pride ourselves on engaging children around the UK in table tennis and other sports. Sport changes the dynamics of a child’s life for the better and improves every aspect of development.

I do hope you enjoy viewing my site.

Please do not hesitate to contact me and I will do my very best to help.
